Hi - I'm new to the Tribe. I just returned from the most blissful weekend at Burn in the Forest ~ cuddling in the EmoDome. This is all very new to me but I want more of whatever Emo E and the EmoTribe are offering. Both my brother and my boyfriend are EmoMen ~ and my relationships with both of them have been greatly enhanced by their Emo experiences. I have now had an opportunity to snuggle with a whole bunch of other EmoMen...and wow...I love EmoMen!

Upon reflecting on my weekend and upon the EmoMen that I met, I came away feeling that these men were holding this amazing safe, supportive, respectful space which had the (unintended?) effect of allowing women to be wide open....to explore our sexuality, sensuality and intimacy without fear or judgment. Being surrounded by an entire tribe of men who are able to express intimacy, desire, love, and vulnerability while still remaining respectful of boundaries was an absolutely liberating feeling for me. I didn't need to shut down, turn off, deflect, get angry or try to make myself smaller but instead could open up and explore my own comfort zones of expression.

A few women, myself included, commented on how amazing it was to feel emotionally safe around EmoMen......and in realizing what it meant to feel safe and how we expressed ourselves in safety – we also gained a greater clarity of what it meant to be unsafe and how we shrank in an unsafe environment. As one friend commented yesterday, she felt that her next partner would have to be an EmoMan if she's going to continue to live fully.

I would be very interested to hear from other women who love EmoMen. Is this sense of groundedness, emotional safety and liberation common to all BM experiences (I haven't been yet) or is it unique to this Emo community?
